This projected sunny weather and an influx of fish should make for the perfect fishing trip to Lake Conroe this weekend.
The lake will be stocked with 13,000 largemouth bass fingerlings Wednesday, according to a release from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. The fish come from the Toyota ShareLunker selective breeding program, which aims to increase the production of bigger, better bass in Texas reservoirs, according to the release.

Fishermen looking to break their own personal records should look to Lake Conroe, officials said. The lake is one of only five in the state that produced 13 pound or larger Toyota ShareLunker "Legacy Class" largemouth bass during the 2019 season, according to the release.
